Earth's tears
People think it leaves a trail of melancholy,
yet without it, where would we be?
Nowhere—
especially not under this willow tree.
Mist kissing my cheeks,
a mother giving her child a kiss goodnight.
Steady drizzle on my roof,
reminiscent of a blanket that always stays warm
on a winter's night.
Weightless but heavy,
drifting me to sleep,
ozone mellow and clean notes,
it’s my antidote.
Pitter patter it goes,
deceitfully gloomy,
as my love for it grows.

Summer dusk
Pulsating beats radiating
as sun-kissed sounds of euphoria fill my ears,
ambience.
Sweet, fresh, pollinated breeze
wow, I can’t get enough of these.
Birds singing,
crickets almost chirping,
as the concrete cools from the warmths anger.
The moon chases the sun
blending interwoven purple, orange tones,
enchanted.
Why do we take this for granted?
